Bakersfield Chapter, NSDAR, recognizes and honors participants in the DAR Good Citizens scholarship program, honors local Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) by presenting bronze medals to cadets from our local schools, and presents awards to elementary and junior high school students participating in the American History Essay contests.

Chapter members are very active within our community supporting the many veterans activities such as Honor Flight Kern County and the annual Stand Down as well as support Women's Health needs.

Bakersfield Chapter, NSDAR, also supports the DAR Schools with donations of thrift items and numerous monetary donations.

Members are active at almost every level of the State and District society - we are consistently an award-winning chapter!
